Merchandising/Campaigns
Trademark/Copyright
Hancock has considerable experience with the trademark/copyright process
through numerous clients including an international building products
manufacturer. We have working relationships with several copyright/patent/intellectual
property attorneys and law firms and through them can provide exhaustive
services.
Print Design
The Hancock design team includes Lance Kitchen, the agency’s award
winning art director, and Lisa Hagood, a 10-year graphic design veteran
who works for the agency internationally. The Hancock team has produced
some the most effective and awarded print campaigns in Texas. The team
is supported by graphic designers, copywriters and a host of independent
photographers throughout the state and nation. Hancock regularly produces
print and collateral for clients in all major cities in Texas as well
as Chicago, Denver and other national markets.
Merchandising/Signage
The Hancock team regularly works with retail and non-retail clients
in the development of on-site and off-site signage strategies and design.
Experience includes work for clients in ultra-growth markets as diverse
as Frisco, Texas, the Rio Grande Valley and the market district of downtown
Chicago. In addition to retail POP signage, the Hancock team regularly
furnishes signage for the banking industry, including bank drive thru
signs and related point of purchase signage for drive thru and lobby
banking facilities. These changeable displays or banners are mounted
on permanently secured banner stands and frames. Hancock works with
several manufacturers to supply heavy-duty, upright banner stands and
other outdoor bank POP display signs. Easy to read bank signs and banners
can be changed as often as needed. In fact, Hancock provides these permanently
installed banner stands and frames as well as the vinyl graphics and
design for banks throughout Texas and the nation. By design, these POP
posters are at eye level and easy to read while customers wait in line
in the lobby or drive-through for their banking needs.
Branding
Branding is the marketing function that often suffers at the expense
of product/price promotion. Hancock has a reputation for doggedly pursuing
the branding element in every communication that is developed for each
client. Research is typically first employed to help provide the blueprint
for the branding campaign. The personality of the client is then crystallized
and the campaign is developed utilizing specific media that best lend
themselves to the branding function. Corporate colors, logo and graphic
standards, internal and external signage, voice, sounds and music are
only a few of the elements that are strong contributors in a Hancock
branding campaign. The firm regularly “delivers the brand”
for clients that are growing into markets as different as Austin, Denton
County, Ft. Worth, San Antonio or large international cities in Mexico.
Hancock is called upon repeatedly to develop branding strategies in
these markets for new and existing facilities.
The firm is experienced in developing new products and product names
for multi-ethnic markets as well. The bottom line here is that Hancock
provides the necessary research and takes a very proactive role in presenting
ideas rather than looking to the client for suggested direction. This
is a characteristic that clients most often find gratifying.
Direct Mail
Hancock has long been innovative in creating direct mail strategies
for professional practices to introduce new products and services. While
this is a medium that requires a breadth of experience and know-how,
it is also a medium that can be very efficient when the target is carefully
defined and mined. Not only has the firm generated outstanding bottom
line results in the direct mail arena, it has won national acclaim from
the direct marketing and print industries for work performed for a variety
of clients in diverse markets.
Media
Releases
Hancock has on staff public relations professionals who have produced
thousands of media releases for almost every occurrence imaginable.
From releases for the purpose of media damage control to the more typical
such as personnel and event management, media relations are handled
by a team experienced in print, electronic and IT customs and requirements.
Hancock also produces regular newsletter and trade publication media
for a variety of clients.
Script Design
Hancock has been cited numerous times in the advertising industry for
excellence in copy writing skills. In February 2004, the firm was presented
with a special judges’ award from the East Texas Chapter of the
American Advertising Federation for outstanding script writing for a
print campaign produced for a bank in Central Texas. These copy writing
skills extend across all media and typically include radio/television,
call center scripts, print and collateral, IT, telephone and employee
interface scripts.
Outdoor
Creative and simple is the key here. Hancock produces and maintains
billboards, bulletins and posters for clients in most major markets
of Texas. The vinyl technology that is available today combined with
the highly mobile markets throughout the state make outdoor a very efficient
medium. Examples of the firm’s work are available in the print
portfolio.
Slogan/Theme
Development of the branding statement or slogan is critical in our opinion
to the success of the branding campaign and, therefore, the perceived
identity of the client. Research, identifying the client’s personality
and delivering a truly consistent message is vital to the success of
any campaign. An often overlooked marketing axiom requires that a business
deliver what it promises. It is so important, therefore, that what we
describe or “promise” be realized by the customer or patient
when they have contact with us. If research tells us warm is who you
are, then warm is what we communicate. If warm isn’t your strength,
then focus attention on other advantages.
Campaigns
The success or failure of any campaign hinges upon, among other things,
the clarity with which it is understood and supported internally. Seldom
can enough media be purchased to overcome a lack of support from the
client’s employees. It is for this reason that Hancock takes approved
strategy and creative to the staff first to make them feel an integral
part of the effort. Typically, internal materials are developed and
the staff is brought on board before the campaign is launched.
The Hancock creative team is made up of seven diverse members. The team
takes the findings of research and the goals of the client to the creative
table and develops cohesive, comprehensive campaigns that are on target,
on budget and on time and communicate the personality and message.
Gifts/Sweepstakes
These are handled when appropriate by our staff. We have a number of
proven resources in this area.
Customer Focus
Research
Research provides the blueprint from which we work. Through our research
resource, Hancock has conducted almost every method of research. That
includes hundreds of mail and telephone surveys, large market intercepts
at major malls and grocery outlets in San Antonio, Austin, Dallas and
Houston as well as countless focus group sessions – all providing
the base line information and strategic guidance that has made for extraordinary
success for our clients. Typical projects include very thorough questionnaire
development, high confidence findings and complete recommendations and
analysis. Hancock also maintains a significant library of industry and
past market research.
Events
The Hancock team is experienced in scheduling, planning and producing
client events in numerous markets. The firm has been responsible for
events as diverse as a hospitality suite/formal dinner on the San Antonio
River to facility public openings and gatherings in El Paso, San Antonio,
Houston, Austin and Dallas. For our staff, scheduling, timelines, budget
and deadlines are second nature.
